Apart, A Part, of Everything.
Earlier today I made a test t-shirt for my band, Scattered Suns, using a permanent fabric paint marker and a blank t-shirt. I’m pretty pleased with the results, though I’m not sure how viable this method is for producing band merchandise. This t-shirt took me a total of about 30 minutes, though it could easily [...]
It’s been a while since I posted an update on this blog. I figured I’d break my silence by talking about an awesome client I’m doing some work for. Mercy McNab is a Portland based photographer who creates phenomenal imagery. Her photography is exciting and inventive and her sense of style is evident in each [...]
I was hanging out at Powell’s Beaverton store earlier today when I happened upon this copy of Phillip K. Dick’s Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch that reminded me a lot of my MSCE Day 3 creation. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s the same sort of aesthetic. Kind of a cool coincidence.
We are all moved in to our new place in Portland, OR. It is awesome here. Also, starting the MSCE project back up. Today is something I made for Heather, the joke nickname for our apartment. Enjoy!
Day 12 of Make Something Cool Everyday. I’m more pleased with today’s creation than yesterday’s. Done in Illustrator. Taking a break for the weekend, be back on Monday. Maybe I’ll update with something else over the weekend, but I might be busy. We are moving to Portland in less than a week!
Day 11 of Make Something Cool. A take on an old advertisement, using lyrics from a Modest Mouse song: “Karma’s Payment.” Not sure how happy I am with it, but I’m glad to have something done for the day. Paper texture from BittBox.
Day 10 of Make Something Cool Everyday. It’s almost 1am, but it’s okay with me. Heather and I are for sure moving in a week (to Portland, OR) and it feels really surreal. [...]
Day 9 of Make Something Cool Everyday. Today the creation is a poster detailing the whereabouts of the going away party for my girlfriend, Heather, and I. We are moving to Portland in a little over a week! We’re very excited, and we’re having a little get-together to celebrate and see some of our Lafayette [...]
