Earlier today I made a test t-shirt for my band, Scattered Suns, using a permanent fabric paint marker and a blank t-shirt. I’m pretty pleased with the results, though I’m not sure how viable this method is for producing band merchandise. This t-shirt took me a total of about 30 minutes, though it could easily be condensed to fifteen or so after settling into a workflow.

Enjoy the pics:

It’s been a while since I posted an update on this blog. I figured I’d break my silence by talking about an awesome client I’m doing some work for.

Mercy McNab is a Portland based photographer who creates phenomenal imagery. Her photography is exciting and inventive and her sense of style is evident in each picture. I love her portrait photography in particular. She has a real knack for reading her subjects’ personalities and infusing her photos with their unique characters. But her portrait photography is just my personal favorite. Her portfolio proves that she really can tackle any subject matter with skill and creativity. If you are looking to hire a photographer I would strongly recommend her.

It’s funny, I met her here in Portland but she’s actually from Indiana as well. Her dad was the superintendent of my high school. Just an interesting side note, a cool coincidence.

Check out some of her photography:

Check out her website at mercymcnab.com (I built it!).

Day 10 of Make Something Cool Everyday. It’s almost 1am, but it’s okay with me. Heather and I are for sure moving in a week (to Portland, OR) and it feels really surreal. We are talking about starting a blog for our friends and family to see where we are and what we’re up to. Today’s creation is a visualization of our adventure. The route we’re taking + our destination.
